There will be a very slight alteration of our publishing schedule in March. The first issue in March will be published on the normal day, the 2nd Thursday, which is March 13th. But the second issue in March will be published one day early, on Wednesday, March 26th. This is because of the AAPTA Conference in Austin (see page 5), to which I will be traveling on Thursday, March 27th (the usual publishing day).
The feature article explores a method and strategy to attempt to quantify a trade in $SPX, based on $VXST crossing above $VIX. A trade seems feasible, and one is recommended on page 12.
Be sure to see the “the economy has no clothes” cartoon on page 5.
The market appears to have broken out (page 6), but we’d prefer to see it confirm that today.
On page 9, there are recommendations: an event-driven trade in ECYT, a Nat Gas recommednation, a conditional trade in GS, and a conditional trade in the Japanese Yen, based on put-call ratios.
